GIRL!! We are so excited that we are going to be welcoming a little angel into our lives in October. Her name will be Kinsley Rae. I kept having feeling that we were having a boy but I am thrilled about our little girl. I am a girly and girl and can't wait for all the ruffles and bows I get to play with. I am also so excited to see the role Kory gets to play with a daughter. From the day we found out I was pregnant he was reading things I should do or shouldn't do and is always checking up on me to make sure I am ok. He is going to be a great father and will do anything for his daughter. I am also excited about the relationship that I get to have with my daughter like my and my mom have. We are the best of friends and I can't wait to share the same experience. We found out at our 16 week appointment but I wanted to wait until our 20 week appointment to post anything to just to be sure.

Here are some updated pictures of our little one. So I have been a little absent but this little one has sucked out every bit of energy out of me. I usually will come home from work, fall asleep on the couch until Kory walks in the door and then I try to get up and cook something for dinner. I am sure you have noticed a drop in my Meal Planning Mondays and it is because I can't keep up!! I have been very blessed and haven't got sick but I am starting to think that draining all my energy may be just as bad. But I am trying to get better so keep checking back.

I have been very lucky and have a great OB! I have had an ultrasound at each appointment so far! Here are some of the pictures!!

Week 12:

Strong heartbeat. It was crazy to see how much it has gown in 12 weeks. Kory went to the appointment with me and it was so much fun having him there sharing these moments together.

Week 16:

We went in for a regular appointment and actually got to sneak a look at our little one. My OB said she would send us back to see if we could see the sex since I was 16 weeks. It was a quick ultrasound but she found the sex fast. I had a strong feeling it was a boy and have felt that way for many weeks. Kory has felt the same way until the last week because he had a dream it was a girl. And it was a......

Our Family

...is growing!! We are so excited to announce that we are having a baby! We found out on February 6th after I took numerous pregnancy tests to verify. It was Kory's 25th birthday and I was going to wait so I didn't steal any thunder from his big day but by that evening I could wait any longer. After finding a couple positive pregnancy tests we decided we needed to tell our families. So on February 13th we had all of our parents and siblings over for a BBQ and to break the news. We gave all the parents Happy Valentines Day Grandparent cards and only a few caught on. It was fun and very exciting for everyone. We made a few phone calls that night to family but asked them to remain quite until our first appointment on March 1st.

Our first appointment was March 1st and here is our first picture of our little one. At that appointment we found out I was actually 8 weeks pregnant and little further along than expected.

Delicious Dips

Here are 2 recipes that are really easy and my go to dip recipes when we are going somewhere. I have used them at get together with our Sunday School class, Bunko & our Superbowl Party. delicious dips

Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip

1 cup mayo
1 cup fresh parmesan cheese
1 can artichoke hearts, drained & chopped
1 box frozen spinach, thawed or 1 cup fresh spinach
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
1/4 cup monterrey jack or mozzarella cheese

Heat oven to 350. Mix mayo, parmesan cheese, artichoke , spinach and bell peppers together. Put in a 1 quart dish & sprinkle with cheese. Cover & bake for 20 minutes.
( I thought I had a picture of the dip after it baked but I guess not!!)

Salsa

2 cans mexican stewed tomatoes 1/2 onion
1 bunch of cilantro
2 garlic cloves
1 jalapeno pepper
1 serrano pepper
1/2 lemon- just the juice
1/2 package of fajita seasoning
Salt & pepper to taste

Combine all into a large pot and cook until veggies are soft. (about 10 minutes) Then put all in a blender and mix. It can be served hot or cold. I love it because it is quick & easy!

I am in love with

my Foodsaver!!

My mom recieved one for Christmas and I decided that it would be a great investment. So I went and purchased one. Since one of my New Year accomplishments was to be more organized and stick to a budget, I figured this could help me with both. It helps me to not waste food and even find things on sale knowing that I can freeze them and they will stay fresh for a long time.

The Foodsaver system even makes canisters that you can suck the air out and baggies where you make your own steamable veggies. I have used it multiple times a week and I love it.

Learn how to sew

I got a sewing machine from my mother in law not to long ago and I couldn't wait to try it out. It has been in her attic for years, I was wanting to learn to sew so she handed it over and now I have a new jewel. (And it is pink!!)

I was wanting an easy project to start with so I searched the internet and found this pattern. Here is my first project......a crayon roll up.

I found the pattern here and decided that it looked pretty easy as my first project. I didn't do the rick rack on this one but I am still glad the way it turned out and want to add it to my next one. I can't wait to try new patterns and I will post and let you know how they turn out.

Crock Pot Chicken Soft Tacos

This is one of the easiest meals I have made in a long time!

You will need:

Chicken breasts (The number depends on the number you are feeding)
1 jar salsa
Tortillas
Anything that you like to put on your tacos

Place the chicken breasts in the crock pot, pour the entire jar of salsa over the chicken and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Shred the chicken with a fork, serve on tortillas and enjoy!!

What made it even easier was Reynolds Sow Cooker Liners.

When dinner was over I was able to pick the bag and throw it in the trash!! Easy clean up makes me happy!!

Santa is a good man!

We had a great Christmas and even though we are married I would have to say that we are still spoiled!! I wanted to let you know I am going to be blogging more because I got a new..

and I am so excited!!! I have been wanting one for while but Santa told me I had to wait! I knew I was getting it because we ordered it on Black Friday, so I was really excited when I found a package on the front step! My husband said we were going to open it and made sure that it worked and then I was going to have to wrap it and put it under the tree. No fun I know but it was worth the wait! (For the record..I made him do the same thing! He went and bought a gun that he wanted and he had to wait until Christmas day to get it!)

I have been wanting a laptop since my birthday in August because my Aunt bought me this as a gift

and I have been waiting to use it!!! I have already uploaded it and playing around with it. At first I had Photoshop but I heard that it was a very overwhelming program to learn and since I don't have a ton of time to sit down and learn a program, this sounded perfect to me. It is easy to navigate and I can create pages from scratch or just drag and drop pictures into premade pages and have a completed book. So not only will you see more blogs from me you will also see some new projects that I am excited to get started on.

...and since it isn't I can still tell you about our Christmas!!

***This is a long post and contains no pictures just memories that will last forever!***

We celebrated for about 4 days straight!! Actually for about a week because we started with Christmas with my mom's side of the family the weekend before Christmas. I don't have a lot of pictures because I either forgot my camera, forgot the memory card or forgot to take pictures but those will be in a separate post!!

Christmas Eve's Eve we went to Kory's dad's house so we could have Christmas with his step siblings. We have never done this before and I am excited about another tradition that we have started. One of his step sisters has two little boys and we enjoyed hanging out and watching the boys play. Since they live out of state we don't get to see them often so we love when we get to hang out with them.

Christmas Eve started off very relaxing. Kory, his uncles and cousins started another new tradition... Golfing on Christmas Eve. So while he was out with the boys, I cleaned the house. It needed it bad!! I felt like we haven't slowed down since Thanksgiving. Then that afternoon we headed over to Kory's aunt's house for Christmas with his moms side of the family. It was fun but rushed since we were attending the Christmas Eve service. I actually did a mini children's sermon so I kind of had to be there!! After the service was over we went back to his aunt's and enjoyed playing games with the family.

Christmas Day we woke up and Christmas morning at our house. We had a great 2nd Christmas together!! This year Kory's mom, stepdad and brother came over for breakfast and to open presents. ( We started to alternate parents that come over for breakfast Christmas morning so they will all be happy when we have children!) After they left we headed to my parents to have Christmas with my family. The day didn't stop there...we then went to my aunt's for Christmas with my dad's side of the family.

Day after Christmas we went to Louisiana to visit my grandparents. That wrapped up our Christmas and we enjoyed ever minute of it with our family but we are good that it over!!

It's Christmas Time!

Since it is December first and time to get in the Christmas mood I have decided to change up my blog!!

We had a great thanksgiving this year. My parents went to the lake house so we went to Kory's aunt's house. I didn't take my camera but we had a fun time eating and enjoying each others company. We had so much food it was crazy!! I cooked this year and was very proud of my self!! I made sweet potato casserole, corn casserole and banana nut bread for each family to take home. I made 9 loaves of bread in 2 days!!

My aunt Deede and I love to shop on Black Friday every year together but when the ads came out I didn't see anything I had to have. (Well I shouldn't say that Santa did make a nice little purchase for me so we didn't have to fight the crowds!!) My mom called from out of town and had some things she wanted me to look for if we were out and about. So my aunt calls about 9pm Thursday and says she wants to pick me up at 11:30pm to be at Toys r us. So I agree to go!! Let me give you the short version and say that at midnight there was already a line of about 500 people at our Toys R Us so we went to another one near by that had a line for about 800!! We didn't go there!! Best Buy also had a pretty long line at midnight so we decided to take a look around WalMart since they were open at midnight. Nothing went on sale till 5am so we waited around WalMart for 5 hours!!! It was actually lots of fun and my aunt and I stayed out till about 9am and got lots of things crossed off our lists.

My house is decorated with lots of decorations I made this year and I will post pics soon!! I am trying to be crafty before I have kids because I know once I do I probably won't have the time!!

Nutcraker Market

This past weekend me, mom and my mother in law went to the Nutcracker Market is Houston. If you have never been and you live in the Houston area you need to catch it next year. It is every woman's dream!! The Nutcracker market is in a big hall and has 300 plus booths of Christmas decor, children's clothing and things for women!! It is so much fun! This year I came home with a new collar for my puppy, a cute plaque, a dress, and things for my Christmas tree. I am hoping to get my Christmas tree up soon but that all depends on when my husband gets all the decor out of the attic.

P.S.- Sorry I haven't posted about Kory's Halloween costume yet! (My younger brother took my camera and I haven't downloaded all the pictures yet!) I will try and post some by the end of the week!

Wedding Bliss

So in the month of October we have attended 2 weddings. We actually had 2 on one Saturday but couldn't make it to both since one was in College Station. And as of now my calendar is clear of any wedding in the near future!! I have counted....since we have been married (a year and a half...crazy I know!!) we have been invited to 15 weddings but we only able to attend 9. 9 weddings in that short period of a time!! We have adored every wedding that we have attended because each couple holds a special place in our hearts. I don't have any pics from the latest wedding that we attended because I never whipped out my camera but here are a few from a wedding out of state. It deserves a post of its own and that will be coming shortly!!

Fishers of Men

This Sunday, my youngest brother had a big physics project due. It was to build a boat out of nothing by cardboard and masking tape. His partners and himself then had to take it to the Boat Races and see how well they did. I did this project when I was in High school and it was so much fun! I wish I could find some picture of when I did the project but at this moment I can't. It is lots of fun to see how long the students boats stay afloat and how many labs they can get in 10 minutes. Kyle's boat made it about 8 minutes and about 6 laps. I was pretty impressed. Enjoy!!

There boat was named Matthew 4:19 and they were the fishers of men. They were so cute!!

I can't tell you yet because it is a big secret. At work every year each department dresses up together and there is a competition for best theme. If they win the get lunch on the compnay and a half day off of work. So it is kind of a big deal! Stay tuned and I will show you a picture of him all dressed up!

It is true, I am alive!!! I noticed that I haven't posted anything since August!! I am so sorry if some of you have been checking back and expected to see some updates and then have ended up heart broken when there isn't anything new to read! ( OK I am sure that you weren't heart broken I am just glad you back!) So enough with the nonsense and on with the fun things and pictures!! I will post lots of pictures because if you are like me that is what you like to look at!!

As some of you know I am one of our Children Ministers at church but I got the chance to hang out with the youth all night in the beginning of September. Cram Session 2009 was lots of fun and was a night packed with lots of activities out on the town. We rented 2 big buses and packed lots of youth on them for a night of FUN!! Kory and I both stayed up all night!! I wasn't sure if I was going to make it since I haven't stayed up all night since college and I only did that once during finals! So here are just a few pictures to capture some of the fun we had.

First event of the night was bowling

2nd stop of the night was ice skating. I don't have any pictures because I was out on the ice with the kids playing broom ball. Lots of fun but hurts really bad when you fall.

3rd stop of the night Putt Putt Fun house which included karaoke, laser tag, arcade games, bumper boats and putt putt

The 4th stop of the night was at to the movies. This was actually a great time to catch a little sleep so I did and so did most of the kids.

5th stop was a Wal Mart Scavenger hunt at 3:30am! It as lots of fun but have no pictures of that event either. I was way to busy having fun!

6th and final stop was at Golden Corral for breakfast. This is what most of the kids looked like at 6 o'clock in the morning before we got off the bus to go to breakfast. We had a great time and I know that kids did to!

So that is one of the many events that has happened since I last updated. I have made a list of things that I have wanted to post about I just haven't found the time to slow down and do so. But be on the look out because I am hoping to post a lot here soon!! Keep checking back!

Show Us Your Life- Wedding Dress

Kelly at Kelly's Korner is hosting Show us your Life- Wedding Dress Edition. I haven't posted anything with her in a awhile and today I decided to join in all the fun!! I absolutely LOVED my wedding dress. When I put it on I knew it was the one because I actually started to get teary eyed!! So here are a few pictures of my wedding dress.....
I love the ruffle up top and that it was form fitting. I wanted something kind of different from all of my friends that we getting married around the same time and I found it! Just a side note....AS much as I love my wedding dress I am actually about to get rid of it. It cost so much and I would hate for it to be shoved in a closet somewhere. I am hoping that I can help someone else have the wedding dress of their dreams at a much lower cost! So if you or know anyone who is interested let me know!!

C-A-M-P with Pre-Teens!! I am actaully very excited and can't wait for camp next week. This will be my 3rd summer attending camp with our Pre-teens which are kids that have completed 3rd through 6th grade. So be in prayer as we head out next Monday and when I get back I will post lots of pictures.

I have 2 prayer requests that I would like to pass your way....

- Be in Prayer for my younger brother, Kyle who is on a mission trip right now in Chile. He is 17 years old and this is a big step for him. This is actually his second summer in a row to leave the country on a mission trip. (Last summer he went to Peru) I know the Lord has a lot in store for him but I pray for his safety and he enjoys the trip so that God can use him. Before he left he got a little emotional since he was leaving his entire family behind but I know he will have a great trip.

- A long time friend from home, a fellow Aggie, and Phi Lamber has had her baby at 26 weeks. Below is the blog that her sister is updating on Baby Peyton. Please be in prayer for this couple as they deal with the road a head of them and for Peyton and for his body to develop. He is doing great and we thank the Lord for that but we also know that he has lots a head of him. Stop by the blog and let them know that you are praying for them.

For the 4th, we had a little family reunion with my mom's side of the family. 25 of us to be exact all at the lake house. We had tons of fun and here are a few pictures to show you!

I have been MIA for the past week due to Vacation Bible School! I am part time Children's Minister for my church so I was a little busy last week with VBS and then going to my full time job. I was exhausted by Friday but I had a great week. VBS was amazing this year and everyone had tons of fun! I hope to post some this week because I still have things to catch up on like our one year wedding anniversary from May!!!

Fashion Diva for the Summer

So as I was enjoying the blogging world today I cam across a blog who had a post about swimsuits. I was interested to see what she had posted since I have had a traumatic start to the summer in the swimsuit area!

Last summer I purchased some really cute swimsuits from Victoria's Secret. I was going on my honeymoon last summer so I brought a couple, well more like 3 or 4! But I knew that I would be able to use them this summer so I had no worries. Well a few weeks ago as I was getting ready to swim at the in-laws I noticed that the swimsuits didn't seem to fit anymore, well at least the top didn't.

So I have been on the search for a more modest swimsuit and look what I have found.... Lime Ricki
I am in love!!! This is exactly what a girl like me has been looking for when she wants to enjoy the sun but wants some coverage! I am so excited and just in case you were wanting to know, I ordered this one!

OK so I have lots to post about and much more detail will come later.

First off I have now a have signature for my blog and it was all thanks to Katy and her free find!! Thanks Katy!!

I missed last Friday's "Show us where you live" post with Kelly on Friday due to our one year wedding anniversary. I will catch up with her this Friday so stay tuned.

As far as our wedding anniversary weekend, my husband planned a surprise trip for the weekend. It was loads of fun and I will have a post dedicated just to our anniversary.

Here is a little bit of our house history since I have never posted anything about our first homr. (This one is for you Katy! )

We bought our house 6 months before we got married so we had some time to "fix it up". Kory and I were both living at home rent free so it was a great way for us to be able to fix up our home the way we wanted and not have to live in the mess. Our families were so supportive and helpful during the whole process and we thank them for everything they did. Here are a few before photos of our first house....

That wraps up our house for now! Although we have been there for almost a year, I still have lots of decorating to do. I would also love to update the furniture in the living room since it was given to us but when you are newlyweds you will take anything for free!! Actually I didn't go anywhere, I have just been a little busy and haven't kept up with my blog. So here is an overview of what has been going on in the last month. ( I took lots of pictures because I did have high hopes to blog a lot!)

First, a good friend and college roommate of mine got married!! Actually since the last time I posted we had her bachelorette party, bridal shower and wedding. Here a few pictures to capture those moments. It was lots of fine seeing friends we haven't seen since we graduated and she married one of Kory's college roommates!!

Next we celebrated Easter. My parents were out of town so after church we went to Kory's Aunts house and had a nice Easter lunch and hid eggs for the "kids", the 12 year old!! It was raining outside so the boys hid them inside and I took pictures! Here are a few....

After Easter came a monsoon for 2 weekends in a row in Houston. Kory and I knew it was going to rain so we decided to stay inside all day and hang out. Around one o'clock Kory's dad called and asked if we had looked outside. We had been watching it rain in the backyard but hadn't looked in the front and when we did this is what we saw......

During the time that I have been away I helped host a baby shower for my cousin, Abbie and Baby Emma. It was a great time with 50 + people loving on Abbie and Baby Emma. Here area few pictures from her shower.

FPU

Kory and I have joined Financial Peace University! Our Church just began the program we jumped on board! If you haven't heard of Financial Peace University it is a program designed by Dave Ramsey to help you save money and later become millionaires. ( I don't know if we will ever get there but I sure hope so!) The program is a 13 week study and we have completed 3 of those weeks. I just wanted to fill you in!

Dave teaches you with 7 easy steps to take to get financially stable. Those steps are......

Step 1: Save $1000 for an emergency fund
Step 2: Pay off all debt (excluding your house)
Step 3: Save 3-6 months of living expenses
Step 4: Invest into Roth IRAs
Step 5: College fund for children
Step 6: Pay off your house early
Step 7: Build wealth and give

You can move steps until you have completed that step!! He makes you work at the goal!

Along with completing the baby steps Dave Ramsey goes into detail on the little things that you can change in your daily routines to help you save and invest your money. He has introduced the envelope system to us. We haven't started it all the way but hope to very soon. The envelope system is a system in that you actually put cash in an envelope and when you go to the store that is all you can take with you and spend. It make you really think about what you are purchasing. He also wants you to cut up all of your credit cards.

Kory and I have been doing really well with the program and we are always telling others what we have been learning! We have been on a "budget" ever since we got married but FPU had opened our eyes as to how much money we were still throwing out the window. It is a learning process but we are catching on pretty fast and would like to be to step 5 in the next couple of months. If you are struggling financially or would just like to get ahead start on being financially stable later on in life I would defiantly recommend this program. Check our Dave Ramsey's website and look for an FPU in your area.

Sassy N Chic

I wanted to post about something new in the family!! My mom's new boutique!! My mom actually owed another boutique for about 3 years with a partner, she has now split and has her own. It is called Sassy N Chic in Pasadena, Texas. It is a boutique with clothes, jewelry, purses, home decor, baby items and much more. I wanted to show you some pictures of the newly decorated and painted boutique. (She is in the exact same location as her other boutique but has changed up the store a lot to make it her own!) I just wanted to show you how proud I am of her!! Here are some photos of the shop and itself.

This is a hutch that she bought at a furniture resale shop and painted! It looks so good and brings lots of color into the store!

I know these aren't the best quality pictures but I wanted to show you a little bit of what I contributed! I made both the open/close sign and her a paperclip that can hold whatever she would like!

We (the family) actually worked hard for about 2 1/2 weeks to make the transformation from All About Her to Sassy N Chic. We textured walls, painted, moved in furniture & priced lots of new items. It was fun and now I just wanted to show it off. So if you are ever in the area definitely stop by!

So here are some pictures to sum up what has been going on.

This was my weekend project a couple of weeks ago. I had been wanting a buffet table because I need more storage. My kitchen isn't very big and I have lots of things!! My aunt remodeled not to long ago and was going to get rid of this piece. I loved it because it had just wanted I wanted... tons of storage! I had been shopping around and I actually noticed apiece that I loved because of the way it was painted but it was expensive. So I took on the task myself!! Here is what it started out looking like.....

I absolutely love it!! I have already added some more decorations but once it is finished I will take a final photo for you to see!

A couple of nights ago some girls ( 8 of us) got together and had a Girls Night Out! We had dinner and then watched Legally Blonde on Broadway!! It was so much fun and of course everything was PINK!!! Here was one of the only pictures I got at that night. Sorry it looks bad but this was the end of the show and it was like 11pm!!
Below is a picture of Audrey (Keith's girlfriend) and I and our coordinating jackets!! Aren't they so adorable?!?!? If you can't tell they are actually the same jacket just one is reversed....yes 2 jackets in one! I absolutely love mine!! Now I am looking for the perfect pair of pink heels to match!

Where have I been.....

Don't worry I didn't go anywhere I have just been a little busy!! So to catch you up on a few things......

First I am in my second week of boot camp. I love it!! After the first week I wasn't able to walk but that is all my fault since I haven't been working out regularly! It has been raining almost every morning but that hasn't stopped us. We still do everything like normal even if we get a little wet because we are outside in a parking lot and have no access indoors. I have already told Kory that I am looking forward to starting the next month and I am going to challenge myself to go more than 3 days a week!

Since I posted last we celebrated our first Valentines as a married couple! This is defiantly not our first together it was more like our 8th but our first as a married couple! I will tell you we didn't do anything too exciting and I am starting to think we are acting a lot like old people! I have no pictures to post of the gift I got (we got it as a joint gift) but I will hopefully post some soon. Don't get too excited because it was only a new backdoor!!! We desperately needs a new backdoor. I will take pictures of the old and new and you can tell for yourself. But what topped it off was the dog was able to push the door open the other day while we were at work, setting the alarm off and sending the police to our house. It was time we got a new one! And instead of going to dinner I also cooked and we enjoyed a nice evening to ourselves at home!

I am really excited for tonight because a group of girls is going to see Legally Blonde on Broadway! I will defiantly take pictures and post them later!!

( I promise to post pictures this weekend...Kory has a very busy Saturday so that leaves me some tine to myself!!)

for Boot camp! Yes I have signed up for boot camp...well actually it is a workout boot camp. I joined a boot camp right after I got out of college and loved it. I love the work out that I get plus I am the kind of person who needs motivation. I have joined Texas Boot Camps which takes place at First Baptist Church Pasadena on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 5:30! I have decided in order for me to get back in shape for the summer( I have gained a few pounds since being married!) I needed to do something. The sad part is I have a gym membership but I can't seem to make myself go. So starting next Monday at 5:30 am I will be a boot camper again and I will let you know how it goes!

Lots of things have been happening in our lives since the last post! First we had a great weekend in Vegas celebrating Adam's birthday. We left early Friday morning and spent ALL day enjoying the city and spending lots of money! We stayed at Harrah's since it was kind of in the middle. We would walk the strip and take a look in each casino. Bev and I took a stroll through the Forum Shops. I absolutely loved that!! We would meet up with the group here and there since there were 8 of us. But in the middle of the afternoon a little surprise showed up in Vegas.....Aunt Barbara! We happened to be in Cesar's Palace when she and a friend came walking around the corner. Some other highlights of the weekend were.....dinner at Emeril's in MGM, Cirque de Sol O, dinner at the Prime Steak House. We enjoyed the weekend but are already talking about taking a trip back. Any one want to join us?!?! Pictures from Vegas are on the other camera and I haven't downloaded those pictures yet so those will be posted later.

Then we came back to reality........WORK!!

Kory started his office job this past week. He switched jobs to Lockwood in October but has been in the warehouse since. He is excited to actually move inside!

Thursday I attended Girls Night Out at Champion Forest Baptist Church with Proverbs 31 ministries. It was a great time for a couple of us girls including my mom and aunt to take a little trip and enjoy ourselves. There was great worship music and testimonials along with Kate Gosselin fro John & Kate plus 8. It was lots of fun! Here are a few snap shots!

Friday Kory started inventory at work! That meant from Friday- Sunday he was at work at least from 7a-7p and even sometimes longer. So for me that means I was on my own!! Friday I stopped by at little surprise party for Kory's Aunt Barbara and then went to a scrapbook class. Abbie, Aunt Deedee and myself attended and had lots of fun! Look at these cute projects we made!!

Saturday I went to the mall with my parents and then came home and CLEANED! I even dusted the baseboards. It was just me and Bailey so we just hung out and watch The Women.

Sunday I went to church, lunch with the parents and friends and then ended up back at home with kids!! Some precious little girls asked to come to my house and play.(There dad works with Kory so he had been doing inventory all weekend and they wanted to get out!!) I warned them that I didn't have any kid toys beside a Wii so we stopped by their house to grab some board games, books and driving wheels for the Wii since we only have one. We got home changed clothes and went to the park first and took Bailey on a walk. We then came home played Guitar Hero & Mario Kart for about 2 hours before I took them home.

Other than that we are back to normal just working and spending time together. I will try and post again soon. I am going to try to work on a project this weekend and I will post pictures.

to Nintendo DS!! I love it!

I know that it may sound funny and that you think that it is just a toy for little kids but it isn't! For Christmas I got Brain Age 2 for the DS. Kory and I love playing before we go to bed every night. You can only test your brain age once a day so it limits the amount of time you can actually play. For the record, Kory's brain age is less than mine but I have to tell you that he cheats! This weekend I had to return a Christmas present back to Best Buy and I decided to get myself a new game for the DS. (I also wanted a new game to play on the plane to Vegas!) I got Super Marion Brothers and I can't put it down! It is so much fun!! I feel like a little kid again! So if you ever have the chance to play a DS you should try it out and see how much fun you can have!

So yesterday we celebrated Adam's (Kory's Brother) 21st birthday. Well we partial celebrated because next weekend we are actually going to Vegas to celebrate there too! Last night we went to Dave & Busters in Houston! Kory, I, Bev, Jerry, Uncle Butch, Aunt Margaret, Reagan , Adam and his girlfriend Chelsea went and had dinner at D&B then played games!! It was lots of fun and here are a few pictures from the night!

Sorry it has been a while since the last post so this is going to be a long one to include everything that has been going on!!

First...Merry Christmas from the Cureton's plus Bailey!

We had a Christmas party at our house for friends from college that live in the Houston area. I made dinner and then we played games and had fun just like we used to do in college. I didn't get many pictures but is here is one of some of us girls!

Mom and I had our annual bake day! We made goodies for about 5 hours! We had lots of fun plus Audrey (Keith's girlfriend) and Emily (Kyle's girlfriend) joined in the fun this year. Here a few captured moments!!

Then came Christmas....our first one as a married couple and our 8th on together since we have been dating!! It was busy but we had lots of fun. It started Christmas Eve with Kory's mom's side of the family. We went to his aunt's house and had dinner and then played games and opened presents. Here a few pictures from the night. I got this really cute picture frame that I will post pictures of later once I get it on the wall above my buffet table.

Then Santa came!!! Kory and I woke up Christmas morning and had Christmas together then my parents and brothers came over for Breakfast. We are going to start a new tradition because we know that as soon as we start having kids our parents area all going to want to come over so we are going to rotate whose parents come over Christmas morning to have breakfast together. Once my parents left we start our rotation through out Deer Park. First Kory's Dad's house, then his mom's house then to my aunt's house. It was a busy day but we had lots of fun! We both had a great Christmas! Some things I (Erin) got were GPS, Ipod touch, Nintendo DS, clothes, new bible, brighton jewlery and lots more. Kory got things for his new pistol, golf stuff, clothes, power washer and much more. We each got something special..... I susprised Kory with a gun safe that he has been wanting forever!! Kory suprised me with ticket to go see O a Cirgue De Sol show and dinner at Belliago when we go to Vegas later this month. We had a great Christmas together and also enjoyed the few days we had off. So today in Deer Park/Houston it....SNOWED!!!! I think that as long as I have lived in Deer Park (which is my whole life) it has only snowed 3 times! I actually kind of had my doubts when people at church were saying that it was going to snow. I finally walked outside with one of the kids and there it was...Snowing!! The kids kept saying "Mrs. Erin there are millions of pieces of snow on your car!" They were so excited!! Once I got home Kory and I snatched a few pictures and here the are!
